A chance viewing of the Pixar film Cars, kickstarted Laura's animation career, when it became the first real moment she realized this was a job that...well adults did. Born and raised in NYC, NY she grew up believing she would become an astrophysicist and pursued that goal through college where she attended MIT in Cambridge, MA. In the years following graduation, she began exploring other career paths in business, bringing her to Seoul, SF, and back to NYC. After discovering animation via Lightning Mcqueen, she enrolled in Animation Mentor full-time and upon graduation, landed an internship at Sony Imageworks in Vancouver, Canada, working on feature films such as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse. She's since worked at DreamWorks Animation on Abominable and The Croods 2, and is now at Walt Disney Animation Studios animating on Raya and the Last Dragon.
